Assam Rifles organises mini marathon for women

Chandel, May 15 2024: The Assam Rifles organised a Mini Marathon for women of the Khengjoi Sub-Division, Chandel district yesterday.

The event was organised with the aim to motivate local youth to promote sports and fitness in the Hill Villages of Manipur, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

The 10 km mini marathon event (women's category) was flagged off from Joupi Village with 49 participants competing.

The event witnessed the participants following the route starting from Joupi Village till Khemdo Village (turning point) and finishing again at Joupi Village wherein the first three participants to finish were presented with cash prizes for their grit and efforts, added the statement.
