The drive was conducted following complaints from the consumers.
The non-locals are selling those unauthorized medicines freely in the market.
There seems to be no authority in the State to monitor the fraudulent activities of the non-locals.
The civil society organizations should be proactive to check the businesses of the non-locals, he averred.
Jadumani further said the Federation would take stringent action against those pharmacists and non-locals involved in marketing sub-standard Ayurvedic medicines in the State.
President of Ayurvedic Doctors' Association of Manipur Dr Biramangol Laishram said that Ayurvedic medicines cannot be sold simply by those people without having proper knowledge on diseases.
The public should not buy such medicines even if they were being advertised in print or electronic media, he added.
