KDS urges immediate repair of roads inside Thoubal District Hospital

Thoubal, July 13 2026: The Khangabok Development Society (KDS) has appealed to the concerned authorities to immediately repair the dilapidated internal roads of Thoubal District Hospital, stating that their poor condition is causing inconvenience to patients and visitors.

In a statement, KDS said several stretches of the hospital's blacktopped roads have deteriorated due to the lack of timely maintenance, leaving large potholes that make movement within the hospital campus difficult.

The society expressed concern that despite being one of the largest Government hospitals serving Thoubal and neighbouring Kakching district, the condition of the roads has been neglected.

It said the damaged roads not only inconvenience people seeking medical treatment but also reflect poorly on public infrastructure.

Stating that rapid development is taking place worldwide, KDS termed it unfortunate that even the roads within a major Government hospital remain in such a deplorable condition despite posing hardships to patients, attendants and healthcare workers.

The society urged the authorities concerned to take up immediate repair and maintenance of the hospital roads in the interest of public convenience and safety.
