Moirang, April 13 2026:
Students of L Dhananjoy Memorial English School staged a sit-in protest demonstration today at Tronglaobi Market Shed, denouncing the inhumane bomb attack at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai that killed two children, as well as three civilians allegedly due to indiscriminate firing by CRPF personnel.
A student who took part in the protest stated that the killing of two innocent children, whose minds were not yet fully mature and who were reportedly sleeping in their mother's lap at the time of the attack, is strongly condemned by the student community.
The student further stated that such an incident must not be repeated in the future, adding that they are now living in fear.
The students also said that they do not feel safe even while sleeping at home.
Emphasising their right to live without fear, the students added that those Kuki narco-terrorists responsible must be given appropriate punishment by the Government.
During the protest students held placards with inscriptions such as "A bomb stole their tomorrow, who will answer for this", "NRC is a shield, Justice is the sword", "Protect our future," "Give pens to children not bombs," "Justice delayed is justice denied", "We demand justice", "Wake up Manipur Government", "Save us from Kuki terrorists" .
