Students urged to embrace science and technology for societal progress

Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary of the State's Department of Science & Technology, announced today that students must actively engage in scientific knowledge and innovation for societal advancement and affirmed that the Government is also working diligently towards this goal.
The Secretary made these remarks at the closing ceremony of a two-day "Introduction to Embedded Coding" workshop organised by the Department of Science & Technology.
The event, held at the Innovation Hub of the Manipur Science Centre in Takyelpat, was attended by dignitaries, including Chingakham Sachi, Director, Department of Science & Technology; Joint Director T D Kom, and Assistant Professor Hanjabam Saratchandra Sharma from Manipur Technical University (MTU).
Speaking at the event, Zuringla highlighted that the current era is one where science and technology are inseparable from daily life, a time of rapid development She described the workshop as a foundational step by the department to help scienceenthusiast students succeed in their future lives and to equip them to competently face the rapid changes occurring in the science and technology landscape.
Furthermore, she emphasized the critical need for people to collectively learn how to utilize the rapidly advancing field of Artificial Intelligence in beneficial ways.
The two-day workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates and prizes to 65 students from 15 different schools to encourage their future endeavors.
