Imphal, January 12 2012:
Claiming responsibility for the bomb blast at the gate of Khumukcham Joykishan at Khoyathong Polem Leikai in the evening of January 10, the proscribed outfit, People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has asserted that it was for defying the decision of the Central Committee of the outfit that no former members of PREPAK should contest in the election held under 'imperialist India' .
In a statement, Assistant Secretary, Publicity and Propaganda of PREPAK LeibakNgakpa Luwang informed that Joykishan and his associates were already warned against contesting in the election.
The statement further informed that Joykishan is a former member of PREPAK, who after being arrested from a house near Mahabali by Imphal West district police on January 3, 1996 had been lodged in the jail.
If any of his workers and associates continue to help Joykishan, PREPAK would consider it as a direct affront to the decision of the Central Committee of the outfit and they won't be shown any leniency even after the election is over, the statement warned.
