Imphal, April 11 2025: A training programme on scientific production technology of Marigold for income generation was conducted today at the Training hall of KVK Bishnupur district, Manipur.

The training programme was aimed to enhance income through scientific cultivation of Marigold hybrid (Arka Bhanu) and to disseminate the technology of ICAR-Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (IIHR), Bengaluru, Karnataka.

The programme was attended by Kh Brajamani Meitei, Senior Scientist cum Head, Dr P Bijaya Devi, Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) and Dr A Tarajit Singh, Subject Matter Specialist (Agril Extension) as dais members.

During the program, Dr P Bijaya Devi, delivered valuable insights on "Scientific Cultivation of Marigold Hybrid (ArkaBhanu)" .

Later the dais members distributed Marigold (ArkaBhanu) seeds to 21 farmers of Bishnupur.

The seeds were provided by ICAR-IIHR, Bengaluru, Karnataka under NEH Component programme.
