Youth political conference held at Khangabok

A Youth Political Conference 2026 was organised at Khangabok Part-II Multipurpose Hall on Sunday with the theme "The Role of Youth in Shaping the Future of Society" .
The conference was organised by Team Dr Romenkumar with the stated objective of mobilising and awakening the youth and working towards transforming Khangabok Assembly Constituency.
A large number of youths participated in the conference, during which several resolutions were adopted.
Among the resolutions, the participants resolved to collectively support Dr Romenkumar Singh, who is preparing to contest the 2027 Assembly election from Khangabok AC, describing him as a young and dynamic leader who understands the sentiments of the people and is capable of working for the constituency.
The participants also resolved to work collectively for his victory and support efforts to bridge political and social divisions among the people of Khangabok.
They further resolved to communicate the decisions taken at the conference to local clubs and civil society organisations.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Romenkumar said Khangabok is predominantly dependent on agriculture, but adequate measures have not been taken to introduce modem farming techniques and enhance productivity.
He said that, if elected as the people's representative, he would work towards introducing measures to enable triple cropping in the constituency.
He also announced plans to organise a Kouna Festival, develop a playground, improve road infrastructure and strengthen connectivity in the constituency.
Dr Romenkumar further pledged to work for the development of Khangabok without discrimination on the basis of religion and to build a corruption-free constituency.
He also stressed the need to improve the livelihood and economic well-being of women.
The conference was also attended by his father, former BJP candidate Dr Kh Menjor Mangang.
