Three-day e-service camp for IDPs wraps up

The 3-day e-service camp which provided Government services to IDPs of three relief camps in Thoubal district came to a close today.
It began on August 6.The last day of the camp was held at OBC Girls' Hostel, Lamding Higher Secondary School, Lamding.
Aside from today's venue, the camp was previously held at Wangjing Kodompokpi Relief Camp and Khangabok Rice Research Station Relief Camp.
It was organised by District e-Governance Society (DeGS), Thoubal in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology.
Some of the services provided at the e-service camp include opening of bank accounts and promptly issued labour cards, aadhaar cards, OBC, PRC and other documents/certificates.
Altogether 200 IDPs availed the e-services available at the camp.
Speaking at a press meet in this connection, Sapam Lalhari, member secretary, District e-Governance Society Thoubal thanked everyone involved in making the camp a success.
The relief camp inmates also extended gratitude to the District Administration for organising such a beneficial camp.
Michael John, Assistant Executive Officer, Minor Irrigation Department, Thoubal and Nodal Officer of the Lamding Higher Secondary School Relief Camp was also present at the press conference.
