Free Medical Camp conducted

A 1-day free medical camp was successfully conducted today at the community hall of Western Panthoibi Club (WPC) in Angtha, Imphal East district.
The camp was jointly organised by the Gender and Social Development Coordinating Committee (GSDCC) of the Angtha Gram Panchayat, and the E-Coy of 82 Battalion BSF, Andro PS, as part of a Civic Action programme.
Civil and BSF doctors provided various medical services, including paediatrics, dental, general surgery, ENT, and gynaecology, to around 200 people, including the elderly, women, and children.
Necessary medicines were also distributed free of cost.
Thiyam Manihar, Chairperson of the Angtha Gram Panchayat, stated that the medical camp was organised with the objective of providing free medical facilities to the public through the collaboration between the GSDCC and the 82 Battalion BSF E-Coy .
The chairperson expressed gratitude to the BSF and all the public and related individuals for their cooperation in making the camp a success, and appealed for similar support in future programmes.
