Assam Rifles extends aid in cleanliness drive

Chandel, July 06 2024: Assam Rifles joined hands with villagers to clear drainage in Yangnomphai and New Lajang Demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the welfare of the community, the Assam Rifles stepped up to assist local villagers in cleaning blocked drainage systems after the recent heavy rains in Yangnomphai and New Lajang village.

Fogging of anti mosquitoes spray in the areas which are becoming inevitably vulnerable to mosquitoes borne diseases have also been carried out.

This collaborative effort not only helped prevent potential health hazards but also reinforced the bond between Assam Rifles and the local communities they serve, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.

In addition to the support in clearing the drainage systems, the Assam Rifles distributed essential supplies and medicines to children and other villagers in need.

This timely assistance was crucial in addressing immediate needs and preventing the spread of illnesses, especially among the vulnerable sections of the community, added the statement.
