Senapati, February 05 2025: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Senapati district branch team led by its Chairman, Benjamin Tao, Hony Secy, Daniel Shangne, RS Abel, State Management Committee and WS Palti, Youth Co-ordinator visited the fire victim family at Koide village, Senapati district where on the fateful day of February 3, 2025 at around 1:30 am, a fire broke out and completely gutted down a house where three household family properties including paddy, cash, furniture, clothes, etc were stored.

The mother and son were severely burnt.

The mother is still undergoing treatment, but unfortunately the son has succumbed to his injuries at RIMS Hospital, Imphal.

The IRCS, Senapati branch team rushed to the site which is around 40 km from the district headquarters to take stock of the situation and assist the surviving family members with immediate relief materials such as blankets, kitchen utensils, hygiene kits, tarpaulins and mosquito nets, etc.
