Chandel, August 04 2025: Naorem Praveen Singh, Secretary Education (S) on Monday distributed aids and devices such as wheelchairs, hearing appliances to special children at the Maha Union Govt Higher Secondary School (MUGHSS), Chandel as part of the week-long Mega Identification, Assessment & Aids and Devices Distribution Camp.

The camp was organized by the Zonal Education Office (ZEO), Chandel under Samagra Shiksha as part of Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagram (5th Anniversary of NEP, 2020), in collaboration with RBSK team, District Health Department and ALIMCO (Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India) Guwahati.

As part of the camp, students from various schools in Chandel district headquarters were accessed by specialist doctors from ENT, Orthopaedics and Psychiatry Department.

A similar camp is also scheduled to be held at Chakpikarong High School on Tuesday.
