Training programme gives insight on proper handling of LPG cylinders

A mass awareness cum training programme for LPG consumers on how to properly handle LPG cylinders and the safety guidelines to be followed in case of fire incidents was conducted today at Elangkhanpokpi and Langmeidong under Kakching district today.
The first programme was held at Elangkhanpokpi Mamang Leikai Library Hall jointly organised by Library and Educational Guidance cum Cultural Organisation and All Gas Care (AGC) Manipur State while the second programme was organised by Langmeidong Maning Awang Leikai Meira Paibi at Langmeidong YDC Club Community Hall.
Notable dignitaries present include AGC Manipur State Manager Sh Joyprakash and AGC Field Assistant and renowned artist Happy Rajen.
Prior to the commencement of the awareness programme, Happy Rajen entertained the audience with his comedy routine and proceeded to educate the gathering about the proper safety procedures and guidelines to be followed in case of fires caused by cooking gas.
Meanwhile, AGC Manipur State Manager Sh Joyprakash said that womenfolk are largely the target audience of the training programme.
Any issues/problems with the gas stove will be properly demonstrated during the programme.
However, cases of LPG cylinder explosions have occurred many times due to lack of knowledge, he said.
The programme was organised in order to educate the general public about the safety guidelines to be adopted in case of hazardous incidents while using LPG.
The local villagers also thanked the AGC staff for the valuable training programme.
