Imphal, September 03 2024: A 5-day skill development training cum input distribution programme on vermicomposting, organised by ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Imphal West, under its 100 days action plan for tribal farmers, concluded today.

The programme, held from August 28 to September 3 aimed at empowering tribal farmers with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective vermicomposting, promoting sustainable and organic farming practices in the region.

A total of 50 tribal farmers from Thuizang and Sangaithel village in Imphal West participated in the training programme.

Dr Ramgopal Laha, Head of the ICAR Manipur Centre, and Dr Laishram Kanta Singh, Senior Scientist and Head of ICAR-KVK Imphal West attended the event.
