Electoral roll Observer reviews SIR progress in Kamjong

Kamjong, August 03 2026:
A review meeting on the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the Electoral Roll was held at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office, Kamjong, on Monday.
The meeting was chaired by Electoral Roll Observer for 43-Phungyar (ST) Assembly Constituency and Commissioner (MA/OBC & SC), Government of Manipur, Armstrong Pame.
District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Kamjong, LN Kashung; Superintendent of Police, Kamjong, Tholu Rocky; Additional District Election Officer and ADC, Kamjong, HL Jain; election officials and representatives of recognised national and State political parties, among others, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, various issues related to the documents required for the SIR process and doubts raised by the public were brought to the notice of the Electoral Roll Observer.
Representatives of political parties also raised concerns regarding the submission of documents and discrepancies related to the ongoing revision exercise.
After hearing the concerns, Armstrong Pame directed the Electoral Registration Officer and other election officials to ensure that the electoral rolls are accurate and free from ineligible or duplicate electors, while also ensuring that no eligible elector is left out of the Electoral Roll.
