Imphal, October 29 2025:
The All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged all schools concerned to stop alleged collection of amounts exceeding the required fees for form fill-up for the upcoming Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur (CoHSEM) Class XI and Class XII examinations.
Addressing the media in Imphal today, AMSU president Lukram Malangba Meitei said that the form fee for Class XI is Rs 1,620 and Rs 3,000 for Class XII, plus an additional amount of up to Rs 1,200 for practicals depending on the number of practical subjects (Rs 300 per practical subject) .
Alleging that some private schools, however, are collecting more than the stipulated fees for form fill-up, he urged all concerned to immediately stop exploiting students and their parents for monetary gain.
He also urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter and ensure that schools strictly adhere to the fee structure for form fill-up.
Asserting that AMSU will not remain a silent spectator on the issue, Malangba added that any excess amount collected by schools must be refunded.
He said that AMSU will keep a close watch on schools that fail to comply and take appropriate action against them.
