Candidates meet Power Minister over pending result

Imphal, July 29 2024: Candidates who appeared in the recruitment exam of different posts conducted by the Manipur State Power Distribution Company Limited (MSPDCL) and Manipur State Power Company Limited (MSPCL) in 2019 met with Power Minister Thongam Biswajit at his quarter in Sanjenthong on Monday.

Briefing mediapersons at Manipur Press Club after meeting with the Minister, a candidate Yumkhaibam Manoj lamented the failure of the Government to declare the result of the recruitment exam conducted by the MSPDCL and MSPCL even after six years.

"We have been trying to meet Ministers and other senior officials, but there has been no update on the recruitment results", said Manoj while adding that after numerous requests, they were finally able to meet the Power Minister today, albeit briefly.

He shared that during the short meeting, the Minister assured the candidates to make necessary arrangements to declare the result as soon as possible.

Further, Manoj thanked the Minister and expressed hope that their long standing demand will be resolved soon.
