UNACCO School fetes Veer Gatha 4.0 winners

Imphal, January 28 2025: UNACCO School Khongman today felicitated two students who were among the Veer Gatha 4.0 Super 100 winners.

The two are Class VIII student Eenungnganbi Laishram in the Class VI-VIII category and Nivana Chakpram of Class XII in the Class XI and XII category.

Notably, project Veer Gatha is an initiative launched in 2021 in collaboration with Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education.

The duo who won in the painting category were accorded a warm welcome by Managing Director Ningombam Irabanta at UNACCO School Khongman and presented with simple gifts.

Addressing the gathering, Ningombam Irabanta expressed happiness and said that the two students are a source of pride not only for the school but for the entire State.

He shared that 150 students from the school participated and competed in four categories -Classes III to V, VI to VIII, IX to X and XI to XII in the following activities: poem, drawing, painting and multimedia presentations in Veer Gatha 4.0 .

Among all the entries, the best were selected and submitted through an online portal, he added.

The Veer Gatha 4.0 Super 100 winners were felicitated on January 25 by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi and they also attended the Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path on January 26 as special guests.

Each winner received a cash prize of Rs 10,000, a medal, and a certificate.

Among the Super 100 winners, 66 were girls, pointed out the Managing Director.
