Constitution Day observed with patriotic fervour

Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram in collaboration with National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), Senapati celebrated Constitution Day 2024 with a series of events that underscored the significance of India's democratic framework.
The day commenced with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony, attended by over 2100 students and faculty.
Kitani Jasha and NSS volunteers delivered insightful speeches highlighting the historical context and enduring relevance of the Constitution followed by a Pledge taking ceremony in the morning assembly.
Meanwhile, the Department of Political Science organized a series of activities, including an essay writing competition and a debate competition.
The vibrant discussions and thoughtful essays showcased the students' deep understanding of constitutional values.
A captivating padyatra, involving 120 enthusiastic volunteers, marched through the streets of Maram, raising slogans and spreading awareness about the Constitution.
The event, flagged off by Fr KO Sebastian, Principal, and concluded with a speech by James, a faculty member from the Political Science department, who emphasized the significance of the Preamble and the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitution.
The successful observance of Constitution Day at Don Bosco College, Maram was made possible by the dedicated efforts of NSS Program Officers John Britto; SR Ethel, and Paulina, the NYK Coordinator inspiring the students through their guidance and support.
