BHSS felicitates retiring teachers, honours meritorious students

Jiribam, April 26 2026: A simple yet meaningful farewell function was held at Kasturba Girl's High School, to bid farewell to four retiring teachers of Borobekra Higher Secondary School (BHSS), who had served the institute for many years, along with the felicitation of meritorious students of the school.

On the occasion, Dibakor Das, who topped in the MIL Bengal subject in the Higher Secondary Examination, 2026, conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM), and tA Roshni Devi, the school topper, were honoured with appreciation certificates and mementoes.

The programme was attended by RK Gamhirjit Singh, retired Principal of BHSS; Chandramohon Singh, retired Arts Graduate Teacher; M Romeo Singh, in-charge Principal of BHSS; and M Nabadwip Singh, GP member, as presidium members.

The programme commenced with a welcome and keynote address deliverd by Ch Bisheshwor Singh, a teacher of BHSS, who highlighted the contributions of the retiring teachers and the achievements of the students.

The teachers who were accorded farewell included RK Gambhirjit Singh, retired Principal; Chandramohon Singh; retired Arts Graduate Teacher; Kh Ojit Singh, retired Science Graduate Teacher; and M Manimohon Singh, retired Science Graduate Teacher.

However, Kh Ojit Singh and M Manimahon Singh, could not attend the function due to the prevailing situation in the state.

As a mark of respect and recognition of their dedicated service, the retiring teachers were presented with simple gifts by the school authorities and faculty members.
