GOC Spear Corps visits Manipur

Imphal, February 26 2025: Lieutenant General Abhijit S Pendharkar, AVSM, YSM, General Officer Commanding, Spear Corps, visited the Red Shield Division at Leimakhong in Imphal West district from February 25 to 26, 2025.According to a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing), the General Officer conducted a comprehensive review of the operational preparedness of the formation during his visit.

He held detailed discussions with senior military commanders, focusing on the unique challenges in Manipur and the way forward.

As part of his visit, the GOC inaugurated the 'Kurukshetra' Multi-Purpose Complex, a state-of-the-art facility equipped with modern IT infrastructure, video conferencing capabilities, and operational tools.

Designed to accommodate over 200 personnel, the facility will serve as a venue for lectures, discussions, meetings, and seminars.

The GOC commended all ranks of the Indian Army for their unwavering professionalism, commitment.

He also appreciated their high morale and dedication to maintaining peace and Security in the state.

The visit reaffirmed the Indian Army's steadfast commitment to addressing the dynamic security landscape in Manipur and its resolve to uphold national security.
