Kakching, November 23 2024: The Kakching Dramatic Union (KDU) has conveyed heartfelt condolences at the passing of Mayanglambam Leibakmacha, who was popularly known as Nongban Saba on November 19 .

He was 98 .

Artists and office bearers of KDU organised a condolence to mourn the passing of the artist from Kakching Khunyai Leikai, said a press release issued by Kshetrimayum Sushilkumar, secretary, KDU.

A 2-minute silence was observed by the gathering to honour the deceased and offer prayers for the departed soul to rest in peace.

As an artist of KDU, Mayanglambam Leibakmacha famously played the role of Nongban and acted in over 100 dramas showcased in different parts of Manipur.

He was one of the most prominent artists of KDU, added the press release.
