ACI Spring Fest 2026 celebrated with cultural fervour at Punanamei

The 2nd Spring Fest 2026 of Asufii Christian Institute (Autonomous College), Punanamei in Senapati district was celebrated with enthusiasm and vibrancy from March 20 to 21 under the theme "Blooming Together in Excellence and Unity" .
The two-day festival brought together students, faculty members, and visitors in a colourful celebration blending tradition with modem creativity.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Dr Daili Neli, who in his keynote address highlighted the importance of unity, collaboration, and collective effort in achieving excellence.
He noted that the festival serves as a platform to nurture creativity, confidence, leadership, and teamwork among students.
The first day, themed "Rhythm of Cultures," showcased the rich cultural heritage of the region, with special emphasis on the traditions of Naga community.
Various traditional activities and competitions such as folk dance, ululation, horn blowing, bamboo climbing, winnowing, bamboo race, hopscotch, and traditional fire-making were held.
Participants adorned in traditional attire added to the festive spirit.
The highlight of the day was the Naga wrestling competition, which drew wide appreciation for its display of strength, sportsmanship and living tradition.
The second day, under the theme "Fiction to Reality," focused on contemporary and creative expressions.
Events such as cosplay, solo and group dances, western band competitions, and talent hunts provided a platform for students to showcase their diverse talents.
A major attraction of the festival was the grand musical concert featuring noted artistes Aseno Metha from Nagaland, popularly known as the "MOMO Girl", and Manipur-based artist Yung Yung.
Their performances captivated the audience and marked a lively conclusion to the festival.
Blending cultural richness with modem vibrancy, the Spring Fest strengthened bonds among participants and reaffirmed the institute's commitment to promoting unity, excellence, and cultural appreciation.
The event concluded on a high note, leaving a sense of inspiration and togetherness among all attendees.
