H Ibotombi, RK Singhajit condoled

The Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts & Cultural Society (KIMACS) has expressed profound sadness and condolence over the untimely demise of renowned choreographer and Guru of Manipuri dance forms including Raslila and Pung Cholom, Padma Shri Rajkumar Singhajit Singh.
He breathed his last on November 19, 2024.Rajkumar Singhajit Singh was a recipient of many awards including the Tagore Award for Cultural Harmony conferred by the Government of India, Sangeet Natak Akademi Fellowship, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Kalidas Samman, Manipur State Kala Akademi Fellow, Nritya Choodamani, Padma Shri, Nritya Ratna Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Delhi Sahitya Kala Parishad Award etc.
In a release, KIMACS recalled the numerous contributions made by Rajkumar Singhajit Singh towards the promotion and preservation of Manipuri art.

KIMCAS also shared the grief & pain of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul may rest in peace.
Meanwhile, Kabui Union Manipur has condoled the untimely demise of Heikrujam Ibotombi Khuman, former consultative member of United Committee Manipur (UCM).
Hiekrujam Ibotombi died on November 19, 2024 at RIMS, Imphal due to an illness, said a release issued by Kabui Union Manipur.
Late Heikrujam Ibotombi was a visionary leader who played key roles in many public movements and made significant contributions towards the welfare of the people.
He was the founder member of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), convenor of Fourth World People Kangleipak and consultative member of UCM.
In his honour, Kabui Union Manipur president Dr K Heera chaired a condolence meeting on Wednesday afternoon to mourn the untimely demise of the Heikrujam Ibotombi.
The meeting remembered the numerous contributions made by Heikrujam Ibotombi and shared the grief & pain of the bereaved families.
The gathering also observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
