Medical camp held at Oinam village

Bishnupur, October 21 2024:
With an aim to elevate health conditions of local residents and displaced folks, the Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Oinam Relief Camp in Oinam village, Bishnupur today.
A total of 423 persons, including the elderly, women and children, received medical services during the camp.
Teachers and students of Oinam Degree College and local schools also participated in large numbers.

Orthopaedic specialist and Senior Medical Officers of Assam Rifles diagnosed the patients of Oinam IDP Camp and locals from the village.
Special sugar tests were also conducted for people over 45 years of age and approximately 102 individuals were screened.
Reportedly, people greatly benefitted from the presence of ENT and Orthopaedic specialists as availability of specialists has always been limited to the people of this area.
The medical camp aimed to address the immediate health needs of the community, offering free medical assistance, consultations, and basic health check-ups.
Medical Specialists from AR ensured that each patient received thorough care while addressing a range of health concerns and providing relief to the local populace.
Principal of Oinam Degree College, local civil society organisations, youth clubs of the area and residents expressed their profound gratitude and thanked Assam Rifles for organising the medical camp in their locality and requested them to conduct such camps on regular basis.
