Imphal, February 21: Opining that Government plan for expansion of the Tulihal Airport to upgrade the facility into an international standard airport by evicting local residents and consuming cultivable land is detrimental to interest of the general public, Salai Apunba Nupi Lamjing Lup, Singjamei pledged unflinching support to any movement launched against the plan by the JAC concerned.

Reminding that shortage of food grain owing to diminishing agricultural land has been staring at the people of Manipur, the Lup further contented that any Government plan that do not respect sentiment of the people is akin to abusing rights of the citizens, mockery of democratic principle and blasphemous interpretation of the Constitution.
