EDP fosters local startup ecosystem

The Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) for 485 shortlisted candidates under the ChiefMinister Entrepreneurship Support Scheme(CMESS)/Start up Manipur2.0successfully concluded today at the City Convention Centre, Imphal.
The EDP, organised by the Planning Department, Government of Manipur, aimed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and promote self-employment opportunities among participants in the State.
The valedictory function was graced by dignitaries, including Dr RK Radhesana Devi, Director Planning; SK Aimol, Joint Secretary, Planning; Dr RK Tombisana, Joint Director, Planning; H Homendro, Joint Director, Planning; Dr S Yoirentomba, Deputy Director, MSME, Imphal; Guneshwor Singh, Chief Manager, SBI; Th Joykumar, president, All Manipur Entrepreneurs' Association; Roshnikumar Yambem, director, Globizs Web Solution Pvt Ltd; Upendra Kumar, Circle Head, Punjab National Bank, Imphal; and W Daniel, Chief Manager (Credit and NPA), SBI Imphal West.
The valedictory function featured speeches from representatives of the dignitaries and experts.
Certificates were also distributed to all participants.
Notably, the 7-day programme offered structured training on essential entrepreneurial skills, including business development financial planning, and digital tools.
Practical insights were also provided through various startup case studies.
Participants demonstrated strong engagement and potential throughout the programme.
Manipur Technology Innovation (MTI-HUB) assured the attendees of continued support, which will include incubation, mentorship, and funding linkages, encouraging participants to apply their new skills and contribute to Manipur's burgeoning startup ecosystem.
