Imphal, January 19 2025: Condolences poured in from different quarters mourning the unfortunate demise of prominent Manipuri writer and lyricist Khumanthem Prakash.

Khumanthem Prakash breathed his last on January 17.The Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti has expressed profound sorrow and condolence over the untimely demise of Khumanthem Prakash.

In his honour, Naharol Sahitya Premee Samiti president Naoroibam Indamani chaired a condolence meeting today at Dr Kamal Literary Complex, Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai.

The gathering shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.

Moreover, The Leikol (Leimarol Khorjeikol) also convened a condolence meeting at its office premises in Kwakeithel Moirangpurel on Saturday.

During the meeting, members of the Leikol (Leimarol Khorjeikol) shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

The Manipur State Kala Akademi has also condoled the demise of Khumanthem Prakesh and extended solidarity to the bereaved family.

The employees of Manipur State Kala Akademi led by Secretary Sunanda Thokchom also observed two minutes of silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul.
