Oral health training held for Thoubal school teachers

Thoubal, August 18 2026: A one-day Oral Health Training Programme for school teachers of Thoubal district was organised on Monday at the Conference Hall of CHC Yairipok.

The training programme was organised by the National Oral Health Programme (NOHP), Thoubal, under the initiative of the District Health Society, Thoubal.

The inaugural session was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal, Dr Krishnachandra Luwang; SNO of NOHP and Deputy Director of Dental, Manipur, Y Pumima; DHS Thoubal DPO Ch Basanti; and CHC Yairipok Medical Officer-in-charge and NOHP Thoubal District Nodal Officer Dr L Robinson Singh as presidium members.

Around 30 teachers from various educational institutions of Thoubal district participated in the training.

CHC Yairipok MO-in-charge Dr L Robinson Singh and MDS Senior Dental Surgeon Dr L Joshina served as resource persons.

Speaking in connection with the programme, Dr L Robinson said the training was organised specifically for teachers to equip them with knowledge on maintaining oral health, recognising symptoms of oral diseases and taking necessary preventive measures to ensure the oral health of students.
