Nabi Khan said the locals have on many occasions urged the heavy vehicles to use alternate routes for transporting loads.
The locals have talked to the factories.
While they had assured to repair the road whenever required and had informed that it will be repaired by April/May, no action has been taken up to improve the road, Nabi said.
The deteriorating condition of the road has inconvenienced the locals, mainly students and patients who need emergency medical attention, he added.
If the road is not repaired by the authorities concerned by August 21, the locals along with civil bodies and transporters will close the road from the next day (August 22) indefinitely, he said.
