Year long celebration of Manipuri Jagoi Marup kicks off

Imphal, April 17 2022: The year long 60 years foundation day celebration of the Manipuri Jagoi Marup began yesterday at its complex.

As per a statement by Manipuri Jagoi Marup, the inaugural function of the celebration was graced by M Joy Singh, Commissioner Art and Culture, Government of Manipur, Ng Amumacha Singh, president Manipuri Jagoi Marup, Budha Chingtham, president of Cultural Workers And Activities Forum Manipur, Dr M Nara Singh, former minister as presidium members.

Dance and music performances marked the opening ceremony of the celebration which will continue till April 2023 .

During the year long celebration, the Marup is planning various programs in the State and outside the State, added the statement.
