Convergence Mela held at Wangoo

Kakching, October 16 2025: A one-day Convergence Mela was held today at Wangoo Panchayat Ghar jointly organised by the Manipur State Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Village Level Federations (VLFs) of Wangoo Gram Panchayat and Pangantabi Gram Panchayat under Langmeidong CD Block, Kakching district.

The VLFs include Lamjing Mangal VLF, Warukok VLF, Anouba Mangal VLF, Lingjel Thoibi VLF and Yaipha Thourang VLF.

The event was attended by Wahengbam Jugindro, Extension Officer, Langmeidong CD Block as the chief guest; Moirangthem Amubi, Chairperson.

Speaking as the chief guest, Wahengbam Jugindro said that the convergence mela was held to spread awareness and make people take advantage of various Government schemes made available at the mela.

Meanwhile, Thingnam Kanan Devi, SISD Cadre of Mangal VLF, said that people in villages face various obstacles in going to different Government offices and applying for available schemes.

The convergence mela was organised to provide some relief to the villagers in this regard.

On behalf of the VLFs, she expressed gratitude to the officials from various departments for attending the event and making multiple Government services available to the local people.
