Imphal, September 15:
Troops of 24 Assam Rifles stationed at Moreh seized one M-16, one magazine with five live rounds, one lethode bomb launcher, one Burmese calculator and two Burmese made Mopeds (Scooty Kanba-125 and Scooty Super XG JAO) from a shop located at Tamil Sangam area in Moreh ward number 3 in the wee hours of today, said the PRO of Assam Rifles in a statement today.
The troops while on patrol duty saw some suspicious movement near the shop and when they approached the site two Burmese arms smugglers escaped by crossing over to the neighbouring country, added the statement.
There is no report of any arrest.
