AMGSU celebrates Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat

Imphal, April 15 2025: The All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) Kanglatongbi Unit celebrated Nav Varsh Vikram Samvat 2082 along with the Inter-Kanglatongbi Nepali Dance Competition 2025 on Monday at the Kanglatongbi Community Hall.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of community members, dignitaries, students and cultural performers.

The function was attended by Mani Kumar Limbu, president of Nepali Sanskriti Suraksha Parishad Manipur and Principal of Roses English High School, Kanglatongbi as chief guest, Suraj Nepal, president of AMGSU as president and Meena Bista, chairperson of Kanglatongbi Gram Panchayat, Prem Prasad Shivakoti, Principal of Senapati Govt High School and Khem Nepal, contractor of IOC as guests of honour.

Several AMGSU imots-including Irang Pt II, Kpi-Toribari, Koubru Leikha Kolpekjang Paspati, Motbung Charhajare, Leimakhong, and Pangei - participated with dance troupes representing their respective areas.

The highlight of the event was the Inter-Kanglatongbi Nepali Dance Competition, in which Roses English School claimed the Winner's trophy along with a cash prize while Divine Nestelen School and Shantipur Youth Union were awarded the first and second runners-up.
