Imphal, December 14 2025: A Manipuri travelogue, "Khagee Leihaogi Leinam" written by Ramananda Nongmeikapam was released today in a function held at City Convention Centre, Imphal.

The book release function, organised by the Sahitya Thoupang Lyp, brought together distinguished academicians, writers and literature enthusiasts, creating a vibrant literary atmosphere.

The function was presided over by Saratchand Thiyam, Sahitya Akademi Awardee while Prof W Chandbabu, Vice Chancellor, Dhanamanjuri University and Prof K Shantibala, president, Cultural Forum Manipur graced the occasion as the chief guest & guest of honour respectively.

During the event, renowned poet & critic Tongbram Amarjit gave a brief review of the book.

Similarly, two Panji (astrology)-related books authored by Thongbam Premjit Meetei were released today at the hall of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) in Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham.

The books are - "Aphaba Thouramlon Pibagee Matam Piba (Mahurta)" and "Kumgee Mahei (Brashakritti - Shree Shree Jotishchandrika Gi Mahei)".

The book release function was graced by LSTB vice president Vidyapati Senjam, member secretary Maisnam Shivdutta Luwang, board member Keisham Ibomcha Mangang and Panji scholar Akoijam Haridas as presidium members.

Moreover, the December edition of monthly journal "Nupigi Punsi" was released today at the office of Young Women Help Organisation in Wangkhei Ayangpalli Thambalkhong Thong Manak.

The function was graced by Dr Loijinglen Chingsanglakpa Namei-rakpam, president/chancellor, Golden Dragon Ibudhou Pakhangba International University; L Mangisana, president, NMC Manipur Unit; Th Shanti, president, YWHO; and Th Sakhi, vice president, NFIW as presidium members.
