Jiribam, November 14 2024: A Joint Action Committee has been formed in connection with the killing of Laishram Baren Meitei aged 60 years s/o (L) Laishram Lalo Singh and Maibam Kesho Meitei aged 70 years s/o (L) Maibam Kaoba Meitei of Modhupur, Jiribam district by Kuki terrorists on November 11 at Jakuradhor Lamlong Keithel, under Borobekra Sub-division, Jiribam district.

The JAC in the meeting has taken the following resolution - demand the Government to book the culprits within 72 hours, to provide ex-gratia to the family members before performing their last rites, a suitable Government job for the next of kins.

The JAC has decided to not take the dead bodies if demands are not met.

The JAC has appointed Yurembam Sanjoy Singh as convenor of the JAC and Heisnam Bibekananda Singh as co-convenor.
