Preparatory meetings held in line with upcoming Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026

Bishnupur/Kakching/Pherzawl, September 14 2026: In view of the upcoming Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, scheduled to be held from September 17 to October 17, preparatory meetings were held today across the districts of Manipur chaired by their respective Deputy Commissioners.

It may be noted that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is being organised to mark 25 years of public service and governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will be implemented across the country.

The campaign focuses on three broad themes - Seva (Service), Sushasan (Good Governance) and Antyodaya (Welfare of the last person) .

Bishnupur

A district-level committee for the implementation of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, 2026 was constituted today for Bishnupur following a meeting held at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat Complex, Bishnupur.

The committee comprises the MLAs representing the six Assembly Constituencies of Bishnupur district - Nambol, Oinam.

Bishnupur.

Moirang, Thanga and Kumbi - along with the Superintendent of Police, Bishnupur; Divisional Forest Officer, Bishnupur; Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Bishnupur; SDOs and BDOs of the three subdivisions of Nambol, Bishnupur and Moirang; district-level officers; principals of colleges across the district; and other concerned officials and stakeholders.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, and focused on detailed discussions regarding the planning and effective implementation of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at the district level.

Highlighting the key objectives of the campaign, Pooja Elangbam emphasised the need for coordinated efforts to ensure effective citizen outreach and public engagement across the district.

The campaign will focus on last-mile delivery of welfare schemes to eligible beneficiaries, identification and facilitation of eligible beneficiaries who remain uncovered, and greater participation of youth and communities in service and governance.

The campaign will also give emphasis to health and nutrition initiatives through Anganwadi and ASHA networks, communitylevel cleanliness and environmental activities, and the promotion of innovation, documentation and dissemination of development outcomes.

The DC called upon all departments, elected representatives and stakeholders to work in close coordination to ensure that the objectives of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan are achieved effectively.

Kakching

At Kakching, the meeting held at the DC Conference Hall was chaired by Angeline Renita R, Deputy Commissioner where she reviewed various activities planned for the month-long programme.

The activities include household and diya-lighting at Amrit Sarovar sites, Awas Yojana colonies, Jan Aushadhi Kendras and newly constructed dams or bridges under the programme Aashirwad Ka Diya.

Painting, essay and elocution competitions will be organised under the programme India of Dreams (Art Seva) among educational institutions on the theme 'My Vision of Viksit Manipur.

Other programmes include short cultural performances in local dialects highlighting stories related to beneficiaries schemes to be held under Namo Seva Gatha programme.

Under Aangan Ka Utsav programme, visits and interaction with frontline Anganwadi Workers and ASHAs, and nutritionawareness activities and camps will be held.

Cleanliness drives, tree plantation programmes, voluntary blood donation camps, beneficiary enrolment and verification, documentation and applications for various government schemes will also be undertaken.

Making Rangoli, incorporating local artistic traditions, indigenous motifs and textile geometry are among the other activities planned.

The meeting was attended by Ph Bhavananda Sharma, ADM Kakching, AC to DC, officials of the District Administration and District Level Officers of Kakching district.

Pherzawl

Deputy Commissioner of Pherzawl, Anunay Anand, IAS, today chaired a meeting of District Level Officers (DLOs) to review preparations for the month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the proposed activities and work allocation among the line departments.

The departments were directed to coordinate their activities and ensure effective implementation of the campaign.

A series of activities including cleanliness drives, health camps and distribution of benefits under welfare schemes were proposed to be taken up during the campaign.

The DC also advised the DLOs to identify and include other suitable activities that could be undertaken by their respective departments during the campaign.

The meeting also reviewed the implementation and operationalisation of the e-Office system in Pherzawl district.

The DC directed all DLOs to submit their official government email IDs or create official accounts at the earliest to facilitate their onboarding onto the e-Office platform.

The meeting was attended by Superintendent of Police T Lalboi Haokip, ADC Lalthazam, ADC and i/c SDO Parbung Zosanglur Joute, SDO Vangai S Khaikhopau Ngaihte and other District Level Officers.
