Second Special Gram Sabha held across Kakching to finalise GPDP

Kakching, July 14 2026: The second Special Gram Sabha under the People's Plan Campaign2025-26for formulation of the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) 2026-27 was held across various Gram Panchayats under the Kakching Community Development Blocks on Tuesday with the theme, "Sabka Yojana, Sabka Vikas" .

The meetings focused on finalising the GPDP 2026-27, reviewing the Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0 scores and discussing other developmental requirements of the Gram Panchayats.

Gram Sabhas were held at the Irengband Gram Panchayat Office, Wabagai Yangbi Community Hall, Uchiwa Wangma Community Hall for Maibam Uchiwa Gram Panchayat, and Irong Chesaba Panchayat Ghar.

Officials from various departments, including Education, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, MSPDCL, Agriculture, Fishery, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, District Social Welfare Office, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, participated in the meetings.

An interactive session between Gram Sabha members and departmental officials highlighted various Government schemes, eligibility criteria, required documents and benefits available to the public.

The second day of the Gram Sabha will be held on July 15 at Pallel Maning Community Hall for Pallel Gram Panchayat from 12.30 pm, Keirak Makha Leikai Community Hall for Keirak Gram Panchayat from 3 pm.
