Tamenglong College hosts first-ever electronics training programme

Tamenglong, May 13 2026: Tamenglong College has commenced a five-day hands-on training programme on Electronics from May 11 to 15 under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

The programme is being conducted by a team of seven expert engineers from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras led by Ganesan K.It is the first programme of its kind to be organised at Tamenglong College.

The initiative aims to equip students with practical exposure and technical skills to students in the field of electronics through the use of Universal Electronics Training Kits.

The training sessions focus on hands-on learning, electronic gadgets, circuit systems and basic technological applications to enhance the scientific and technical understanding of students.

Altogether 121 students are participating in .

the programme, including 78 students in the morning shift and 43 students in the evening shift.

The enthusiastic participation of students reflects the growing interest in technology-oriented education and.

skill development in the district.

The inaugural programme was attended by Armstrong Pame, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Education, Govt of India as the chief guest; while Dr Kinthuijinang Maremmei, Principal of Tamenglong College, attended as guest of honour.

College authorities stated that the programme marks an important milestone in promoting experiential and skill-based learning among students and expressed hope that similar initiatives would continue to benefit the youth of the region in the future.
