TOT for Master Volunteers of NMBA held at Thoubal

Thoubal, February 13 2025:
The District Social Welfare Office Thoubal in association with Community Development Programme Centre-IRCA (CDPC), Social Reformation and Development Organisation-IRCA (SRDO), Rural Development Society-IRCA (RDS) and Eramdam Ningol Yaiphakol RVS-Eranyai IRCA today organised a one day Training of Trainer (TOT) for Master Volunteer's training programme on Drug Abuse Prevention as a part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) campaign at the Counting Hall of Deputy Commissioner Office Complex, Thoubal.
In today's programme Deputy Commissioner, Thoubal A Subhash Singh, IAS and Dr S Ibomcha Singh, SP Thoubal launched the signature campaign as part of NMBA.
The programme was sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MOSJE), National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) and State Level Coordinating Agency, (SLCA) Manipur.
At the campaign, Dr A Jayenta Kumar, Director, SLCA, Manipur, Oinam Inaobi Singh, Inspector 2nd OC/Lilong Police Station, Dr Khangembam Robindro Singh, Senior Psychiatrist, DNO, AMHP, Chandel were the resource persons.
More than fifty (50) volunteers participated in the training programme.
It may be mentioned that Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan was launched on 15th August 2020 by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The aim of NMBA is to create awareness about ill effects of substance abuse among the youth, women, children with special focus on higher education institutes, university campuses, schools and reaching out into the community and gamering community involvement and ownership of the Abhiyaan.
