SSC hails Manipur Fire Service's professionalism

Shantipur Sporting Club (SSC) and residents of Awang Leikinthabi Shantipur have conveyed their appreciation to the Manipur Fire Service for the swift and heroic rescue of Thangjam Thaba Devi, a 38-year-old woman from Leikinthabi Shantipur.
As per a release issued by SSC, Thangham Thaba w/o Th Jatra Singh was rescued alive after she accidentally fell into a deep well at Sekmai Awang Leikinthabi on October 10.The incident occurred around 12:30 pm when locals sported the woman trapped inside the well and immediately alerted the Police Control Room.
Acting swiftly, a rescue team comprising personnel from the Fire Sub-Station Loitang Khunou and Fire Service HQ deployed specialized rescue gear to retrieve the woman safely from the narrow and deep structure.
Laishram Nabachandra Singh, Director, Manipur Fire Service and Th Surjit Singh, OC, Fire SubStation Loitang Khunou also rushed to the spot and supervised the rescue effort.
SSC and local residents commended the rescue team for their timely intervention and professionalism which played a crucial role in ensuring the victim's safety.
