Meritorious students felicitated

Don Bosco College (Autonomous), Maram organized a felicitation ceremony for the toppers and UG and PG students for the academic year 2023-24 today at NV Jose Memorial Hall of the College.
The function was organized to acknowledge the excellence of over 60 students in both academic and co-curricular activities.
Minister of Water Resources and Relief & Disaster Management, Awangbou Newmai graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister shared personal experiences of his student life and exhorted students to be sincere, have trust in God and pursue excellence.
He commended the college for providing excellent academic ambience and promoting harmony among various tribes and groups of the State and region.
He also urged the students to pray for peace and harmony in the State.
Leaders of various organizations of Senapati district, NMSYO, NMWO, MKS, SDSA, MACA, SDCU, NPF, MWCA, CYO, SDCYO and various students' union graced the occasion along with parents of the students.
The programme began with the scripture reading and prayer by Rev Fr Palatty Devassy, SDB Rector while Rev Fr (Dr) KO Sebastian, SDB Principal, Don Bosco College, Maram welcomed the chief guest and dignitaries.
The College Principal felicitated Fr (Dr) Mannattel Roy George, SDB Executive Director, ANMA Integrated Development, Association (AIDA) Dimapur, Nagaland.
The chief guest then presented commendation to Rev Fr (Dr) Mannattel Roy George.
Minister Awangbou Newmai and former Deputy Speaker Raina presented certificates and cash to the rank holders.
Main highlight of the event include beautiful cultural performances by the students of Don Bosco College, Maram presented by the Department of History and English along with a motivational song.
