In continuation of their ongoing agitation, the Kakching District VDF Welfare Association (KDVDFWA) staged a sit-in protest today at Hiyanglam-Wabagai Lamkhai Ima Keithel calling upon the Government to fulfil their long-pending demands by January 15, 2026 .

At the sit-in protest, the VDF personnel shouted many slogans and wielded placards with messages such as "Immediate government decision needed on VDF service matters", Resolve VDF matter to maintain law and order", "VDF Protect public - who protect VDF", "Respect VDFs' sacrifice and service", "Security without security for VDF is injustice", "No rights no duty", "Justice delayed is justice denied to VDF" and "Government must act responsibly on VDFs' demand" among others.
