Imphal, July 09 2025: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned at the cradle point located outside MMKS Children's Home, Dewlahland, Imphal East on July 2, at around 2:3 9pm .

The child is currently under medical care at JNIMS, Porompat and her condition is closely monitored by District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) Imphal East and Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA), Imphal East.

"Any person/persons whoever want to claim the child, can claim by bringing relevant documents of proof to support the identity and their relationship with the child within 60 days", said DCPU, Imphal East in a release.

The DCPU also urged concerned to contact SAA Imphal East on "9856863953", PO (NIC), DCPU on "7085247502", CWC Imphal East on "8787564077" and child line on "1098", if there is any information regarding the child.
