Electoral roll Observer reviews SIR process in Churachandpur

Electoral Roll Observer for Churachandpur and Additional Chief Secretary Vivek Kumar Dewangan, IAS, on Saturday reviewed the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls 2026 at a meeting held at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Tuibong, Churachandpur.
The meeting was attended by District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, Additional DEO Seiminthang Lenthang, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) and representatives of recognised national and State political parties.
During the interactive session, Dewangan directed election officials to ensure that no eligible voter was left out of the revision process.
He also stressed the need to keep the electoral rolls accurate, updated and free from ineligible or duplicate entries.
He invited suggestions, queries and grievances from political parties and the public, and assured that the concerns raised during the meeting would be looked into.
Representatives of political parties shared their observations and were urged to extend constructive cooperation throughout the revision process.
Dewangan stressed the importance of close coordination among election officials, political parties and the public to ensure a transparent, inclusive and error-free electoral roll.
He also appreciated the efforts of the district election machinery in carrying out the SIR exercise.
Later, Dewangan, accompanied by the DEO and election officials, inspected the Tuibong SDO/ERO office at Kholmun and interacted with officials engaged in the revision exercise.
