Representatives of Dhanamanjuri University Students Union led by its president Irom Dimocha Singh along with six others called on Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan this evening and submitted a memorandum apprising her about the issues faced by the students in the University.
According to a release issued by PRO Raj Bhavan, the team led by Irom Dimocha informed the Governor about the issues affecting student community for years in the University.
"There is no regular Registrar and Controller of Examinations which is the main reason for not conducting the examination in time and it has affected the academic career of the students", they said.

The team also highlighted the issue of manpower shortage right from the top to the bottom which has indirectly affected the academic calendar of the University.
They requested the Governor for her intervention in this regard in the best interest of the student community.
Taking serious concern of the issues raised by the student representatives, the Governor assured them that she will look after their genuine grievances at the earliest by organising a meeting with authorities concerned.
