ZUF welcomes return of NSCN-U and NSCN-IM cadres to its fold

Imphal, November 06 2025:
The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) has extended a warm welcome to several Naga patriots who have joined the organization, reaffirming its commitment to the unity and cause of the Zeliangrong people.
In a press release issued by Louis Gangmei, Secretary of Information and Publicity, ZUF stated that the return of Zeliangrong cadres and leaders from various Naga factions marks a significant step toward consolidating the revolutionary movement under a single banner.
The Front reiterated that it has built its foundation on the historic Zeliangrong People's Movement (ZPC movement), which shares its roots with India's freedom struggle.
ZUF emphasized that the ongoing movement for a secure homeland continues to be carried forward with dedication and that dialogue with the Government of India is crucial for a final and lasting settlement.
The organization called upon all to strive together for the early resolution of long-standing political issues.
The press release further mentioned that the return of members from NSCN-IM and NSCN-U was seen as an exemplary move that reflects the "message of right turning point" in the region's sociopolitical landscape.
Among those welcomed into the fold are Major Alex Haihing (NSCN-U); Sergeant Major Gaisingduan Dangmei (NSCN-U); Captain Jangkulung Gangmei (NSCN-IM); Captain Meihuandai Kamei (NSCN-IM); Section Officer Namjuanang Pame (NSCN-IM); Khapur Jacob Malangmei (NSCN-IM); and Corporal Mayanglung Gangmei (NSCN-IM) .
The ZUF lauded their decision as a testament to their "true heart of love for the homeland" and expressed gratitude to God for what it described as divine intervention guiding the people toward unity and peace.
