Seva Seta Abhiyan camps organised

As part of the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Seva Setu Abhiyan camps were organised at Bishnupur, Kakching and Senapati districts today with the objective of bringing Government welfare schemes closer to the people.
Bishnupur
A Seva Setu Abhiyan camp for Nambol Assembly Constituency was organised today at Sabal Leikai Community Hall, Nambol.
The programme was jointly organised by the District Administration, Bishnupur, in coordination with the Office of the MLA, Nambol Assembly Constituency.
Nearly 1,000 people attended the programme and availed various services and facilities provided by different government departments.
Eligible beneficiaries were also distributed horticultural inputs, aids and appliances, and fingerlings.
Speaking as the chief guest, Rajya Sabha MP Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi highlighted the various public welfare initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his 25 years of public service including Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), which have been introduced with the objective of extending support to weaker and vulnerable sections of society and improving their quality of life.
She urged the public to make maximum use of the services and welfare schemes being made available through such outreach programmes.
She also encouraged officials of different departments to discharge their responsibilities with sincerity and dedication for the benefit of the people.
Addressing the gathering as the functional president, MLA of Nambol AC Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh also highlighted various welfare schemes launched by the Prime Minister for the benefit of the people.
He stressed the importance of the zero- balance bank account initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, which has helped extend basic banking services to unbanked sections of the population across the country.
More than 20 departments including Fisheries, Agriculture, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Sericulture, Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), Forest, MSPDCL, Health, DCPO, ICDS and Social Welfare among others set up stalls at the venue.
The departments provided facilities for beneficiary enrolment, verification, documentation and submission of applications for various government schemes and services.
The programme was also attended by District Level Officers and officials of the departments concerned among others.
Kakching
The Aangan Ka Utsav, held under the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026 was organised at Kakching Wairi Kamala Pareng A Anganwadi Centre and Kakching Part III Awang Anganwadi Centre by the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Cell, under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching.
Meanwhile, under the ongoing Seva Sankalp Abhiyan 2026, district-level painting, essay writing and elocution competitions were organised by the Zonal Education Office, Kakching, under the supervision of the District Administration, Kakching.
Senapati
A Seva Setu Abhiyan Camp was held at the Purul Community Hall, SDO Office Complex organised by the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO), Purul under the supervision of the District Administration, Senapati.
As part of the programme, one knapsack sprayer was distributed to a beneficiary through the Agriculture Department.
Certificates of Appreciation were also presented to the bestperforming Anganwadi Centres of Purul and Thingba Khunou through the ICDS Department.
In addition, tree saplings were distributed to beneficiaries through the Forest Department, promoting environmental awareness and community participation in plantation activities.
