Minister rewards dutiful Havildar

Imphal, May 06: Appreciating sincerity of Havildar LD Angam in performance of his duty by way of handing over 960 litres of Kerosene oil seized by his team during a frisking operation on May 24 last, FCS Minister Y Erabot today rewarded him by giving Rs 3000 .

Speaking at the occasion presenting the cash reward during a simple function at his office chamber, the Minister said it is one of the rare cases in over one year of taking over the charge of the FCS Minister.

During frisking, a team led by LD Angam, an IRB Havildar attached with Bishnupur Police Commandos managed to seize the Kerosene being transported in an unauthorised manner in an autorickshaw by one Laishangbam Govind s/o late Tomba of Moirang Laishangbam Leikai.

The seized Kerosene oil allegedly belonged to a subdealer identified as one Laishram Krishnadas of Bishnupur.

Bishnupur police have taken up a case in connection with this incident.

As a follow up action, the FCS Department would be cancelling the allocation order of the accused sub-dealer, the Minister informed.
